CIBC Still Sucks But Not As Much

This is a follow up to my CIBC complaint. I called yesterday to confirm that my payment to the silly credit card was made.  I spoke with a very nice man and he informed me the payment had been processed (it had arrived on Tuesday, less than 12 hours after having been told I was a loser).  I then asked how I could make a complaint about the lady from collections.

He immediately said: “What was her name?”

I told him what I thought her name was.

“You are complaint number fifteen for me today.  This has been a problem for a couple of days and I apologize for your treatment.”

He explained that the individual has been removed from conducting further telephone work and the issue has been escalated to the marketing department (why, I don’t know).  In either case, I was exonerated from being a jerk.

One thing I did remember only today about the experience was I had mentioned to the lady on Monday that the payment had been mailed the previous Monday and I was a bit concerned that it may have been lost.  I then said to her that perhaps the Christmas rush was to blame but, in either situation, it had left our office and was on the way.  Her response to that:

“Why did you mail it?  You should pay electronically, anyway.”

I had forgotten that and it makes me a little pissed off just thinking about it.  At any rate, the nice man on Wednesday afternoon assured me the individual in question had already generated many complaints since Monday and had been removed.  He was incredibly nice and has restored some of my faith in CIBC.

Not all of it.  Just some.

The CIBC is the worst Bank

The CIBC is the worst Bank in the world. They do things behind your back, ie, your name and file go to collections without your knowledge. They give people large lines of Credit without advising them of future finincial consequences. And when you do speak to someone via, at branch level, call centre or collections, nobody seems to know what's going on!!!!!!!!

These losers bounced a

These losers bounced a payment that accidentally came out of my savings when the payment was in my chequing??!! So of course they charged me 45 dollars to do this and the company they bounced charged me $25.00. The money was sitting in my other account!! I am a single mother flat ass broke. They bounced a cheque for $10.00 because there wa $9.75 in my account!!!!Then they charged me $45.00!!! and they people who got a bounced cheque charged me $45.00!!!It cost me $100.00 for a $10.00 cheque because I was .25 cents short, Fucking Losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HA!,silly rabbit,that is how

HA!,silly rabbit, that is how they all work!.They play stupid and then they have a nice game of phone tag with you so they can rack up the time of "delinquent payment" with your account to scew up your credit rating and knock your intrest rate up! Those crafty cocksuckers!

CIBC is a great bank - I've

CIBC is a great bank - I've honestly never had any problems with them..... I cant get over all the whiners out there....Yup, it's the banks fault that you are behind on your payment obligatons - ya, all the banks fault....Its a minimum 3 mth period, sometimes 4 mth period, before any debt gets sent to a third party collections agency...3 or 4 FRIKKIN MONTHS....at the end of the day, we all have to ensure they've received our frikkin payments.....The deadbeats are the first ones to whine about the big bad banks when things go wrong, like its the all banks fault that payments have not been received.... Laughable - Go screw yourselves deadbeats....Canadians are hypocrites - Let's start a LEFT RIGHT MINDS SUCKS WEBSITE.....

CIBC is the worst bank

CIBC is the worst bank I have ever deal with. My banking manager used to be Judy Lee in the Coquitlam Branch British Columbia, next to Johnson Street. Being a new immigrant to Canada, my English is not perfect. Judy used to laugh at my chinese accent and my imperfect English grammar. (not to mention she also has an accent). I was so pissed off, I canceled my mortgage, visa card, investor's edge and anything tie to CIBC. I did not know what is wrong with Judy or is it CIBC's policy to treat customers who immigrate to Canada, with a lot of money, in such a racist way.

your an idiot...

your an idiot...

situation by situation it's

situation by situation it's always different. and you may be somehow correct on the fact that the "deadbeats" are whining but the dead beats are the ones getting fucked by the banks. read what people are saying before you make an obnoxios comment. with maxed out credit cards cibc is still willing to handout higher limits? that is a problem, and not one that im sure a "deadbeat" with a "laughable" mentality could come up with. i think maybe YOU need to take a step back and fuck yourself??

Just as I thought - You dont

Just as I thought - You dont have the balls to post my comments because my comments defend the bank's position and they are contrary in opinion to rest of this drivel that is posted here..... Not surprising - go F yourself, you spineless pencil dick....

 You're so cute when you're

You're so cute when you're angry.

Ok, for all you people that

Ok, for all you people that think CIBC just sucks for people making payments and feel it necessary to attack via internet these people who already have their share of issues, I have a non payment related incident from CIBC. I am currently a member of First Ontario Credit Union and always have been, my husband has his account with CIBC for at least 10 years.
As sometimes happens, his company underpaid him this pay period and only paid him one week of his pay cheque. They were nice enough to Fed Ex the remainder out to him and we received it two days later and put it in the bank. The teller he had deposited it with (in the same city, but not the home branch) had guaranteed it would be in the account in 4-5 days, when it wasn't he called the bank and was told by the end of that business day. Of course it wasn't, we waited two days and called back on the seventh day when it still wasn't in the account. The CIBC rep stated that the teller lied and it would normally take 5-7 business days but since it was done at another branch, it had to be snail mailed back to the home branch and then the waiting period would ensue. What?!? First of all, my bank NEVER has held a payroll cheque. Second of all, is the bank not responsible for what their employees tell customers?!? And of course lets not forget that this bank decides to not deposit electronically into a clients account when deposited from another branch, instead they mail it to the home branch to deal with. That is ridiculous, and very poor customer service as far as convenience goes.
In conclusion, no one there can help you because alot of them have no clue where your money is and no one will take responsibility for it. It is now Day 8 and they have told us it "might" go in at midnight. Might? Wtf? We give up, we tried to give them benefit of the doubt. Rest assured as soon as it does, it is being pulled out of there and an account with a different bank will be opened in its place

CIBC SUCKS BIG TIME !

I moved to Canada in 1994, with my wife who is from Canada.
From 1994 on we have used CIBC for our banking needs.
Right from the start there were some problems every now and then. However, it is now out of hand and I wrote a letter to the CEO of CIBC.
That did help for a short time. It seems to me that most of the people who work at the CIBC from the tellers and on up do not know what they are doing.
In a few days, my wife and I are going to try to move everything that we do with CIBC to our Credit Union.
I am 62 years of age and in my time I have had dealings with a lot of banks and I have never seen a bank as bad as the CIBC !

CIBC and PC bank are the

CIBC and PC bank are the worst. After they made mistakes on my account, i complained about it and got no help. They had someone else call me and tell me that i should find another bank. I have never seen such offensive and poor service and stupid incompetent employees that are not capable of handling problems. Each person i talked to failed in solving the problem they created and made me even more frustrated and angry. They were not sorry for what they did and had the nerve to tell me to go to another bank. Then followed it up with a letter saying they did not wish to deal with me. They are a disgrace to banking. I have never in my life seen a corporation blame a customer until now. CIBC and PC bank suck. I urge everyone to do business somewhere other than CIBC and PC bank. They can not be trusted or respected. Ethics are not at CIBC and most likely never will be. A bunch of idiots and unprofessionals.

they sent me convenience

they sent me convenience cheques for my visa that had a limit of $19,000. when i decided to take advantage of their 2.9% interest charge the true story came out. they let the cheque clear and the very next day they called me and said i was over my limit. i said that was impossible and they said that my limit was reduced to $9500. i told them that this same day i got my statemnet and it still said $19,000. they said it was changed yesterday, the same day they let the cheque go through and because i was over my limit they are charging me 19.5% interest. may they rot in hell the con artists. i should have went to a mafia lone shark. at least they would have kissed me before they fucked me....and i am going to spread the word to everyone and anyone that will listen.

See Eye Bee Sea aka CIBC

Hey, check your statements for double dipping!!! look at your atm withdrawels
eg: a withdrawel of $61.50 Thats a $60.00 withdrawel plus $1.50 for Interac than sometimes you will see an additional $1.50 charge for the same withdraw. So you got scammed twice!! This is punishment for the fee being reduced from $2.00 to $1.50 one year ago.
Then if you go to the bank to complain you get to talk to some dumb bimbo who looks at you like you and/or her are stupid.

wtf are you talking about?

wtf are you talking about? The network fee for taking money from a different bank has been 1.50 for years.. EVERY BANK charges it..(that is the one you see the next day on your statement)

The other fee you pay.. 1.50-3.50 or whatever right when you take your money is the person/company that owns the machine charging you.. big banks charge 1.50.. most small owned or machines in more remote areas really take you for 250 to 350 per withdrawal.. I have seen places that charge 5 or 10 percent of the total withdrawal(which is total bs but hey you have the option>> DONT USE IT.. remember these things are there for your convenience.. They have to pay ARMED GUARDS to load and unload them several times a week and put elaborate safety features continuously on these things included monitoring with video cameras to prevent fraud..

Once again i say if you want to bitch about the fees.. DONT USE THEM.. use your own damn banks machines so its free..

CIBC has one of the largest abm networks in canada

All Macs and 711's in canada use CIBC.. Superstore uses CIBC.. those are monsterous chains.. plus the multiple thousands of banks throughout the country.
