Raiders: The Adaptation In Vancouver

I got an e-mail from Jason Kurylo a week or so ago in response to my Indiana Jones posts over the last few months. (Sorry, Jason, I haven't had a moment to respond to you directly!) He has pointed out that Raiders: The Adaptation is coming to Park Theatre on May 2nd, 2008.

For those of you who don't know, Raiders: The Adaptation is a fanboy remake of the first Indiana Jones film. I haven't seen it but from what I have read about it over the last year or so is that it is a shot-for-shot fan version of the original Raiders of the Lost Ark. It was filmed over a number of years (started in 1982) and when it was rediscovered by the makers in 2003, it was released to the film festivals. Spielberg even praised the work they put into it considering they were only twelve when they started.

It is an event raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society and I am going to try and check it out. I hope tickets are still available. Anyone interested in tagging along?

What else do I do? I talk out loud, record it, and post it on line. I chatter about all kinds of things. Some of the things are nerdy, some professional, and some of them are very much NSFW. Why? Because do them for myself and my non-work life. You can be the judge.
