Vancouver Blogs Rule
It looks as though I am taking a little heat from other Vancouver bloggers because ShanesWorld.ca appears as the number one Google hit for the phrase "vancouver blog".
Let's face it to nerds having their website have a high rank on Google is like Mario getting a 1-Up mushroom and a fireflower... it's a nerd powerup.
Anyway the higher a site's rank on Google the better, right? Right?
For the highly coveted post as the first search result for the phrase "Vancouver Blog" [gl] people are willing to kill... kill I say.
If people are willing to kill for a high Google rank then the most murderous must be Shane of ShanesWorld [sw]. Granted he's a blog consultant and has a pretty good site so maybe he's achieved his page rank through means other than murder, but maybe not...
I have put together a short speech to thank those who made this all possible:
I'd like to thank everyone for coming out this evening. As most of you know, it was discovered that my web site - yes, my little tiny web site - has managed climb to the peak of Googeverest. My insignificant web site exploded in popularity for the phrase 'vancouver blog'. It seems
I would like to thank the following for this honour:
1. Web standards and the wonderful experience that is the W3C.
2. Learning clean code without using anything but a text editor.
3. My parents for purchasing my first computer way back in 1984.
4. My right index finger, for whom is responsible for much of the clicking to get me where I am today.
5. Coffee. Without you, I may never have been able to pull off much in my life.
6. Video games. You know why.
7. And, Bruce Springsteen. Thanks, Boss.
There are so many others I could mention, but I just don't have enough time to thank them all. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
Keep it coming, xHTML and CSS.
